What's it all about?
Channel Living is a Sustainable Living Group or "Transition" group. Based in the D'Entrecasteux Channel, Tasmania, we aim to reduce our environmental footprint at home, in our community and on the road by using the resources and skills at our doorstep. We have a wholefoods co-op which focusses on local, organic and otherwise ethical food and cleaning products, plus vegetable seedlings and seed. We also run a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program, connecting local vege growers with dedicated subscribers through a "vege box" scheme. We have also created a "Community Supported Agriculture Toolkit" in partnership with the North West Environment Centre, to help other communities start CSA initiatives(www.csatoolkit.channelliving.org.au).
